Hospital dinner and lecture in Pultneyville

According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, musculoskeletal (bone and joint) conditions are the number one reason that patients visit doctors and one third of all Americans report they have some form of arthritis.

In addition, musculoskeletal conditions cost society up to $254 billion per year in medical care and lost productivity.

As part of Newark-Wayne's 'For Your Good Health' dinner & lecture series, Dr. Andre Johnson, an orthopaedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, will speak about arthritis.

Dr. Johnson's talk, Orthopaedics Today: the Latest in Orthopaedic Care! will be held at the Relish Restaurant (4135 Mill St. in Pultneyville) on Thursday, November 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. (Registration is at 5:30; dinner at 6 p.m.; the program starts at 7.)

For $5, you can learn about this topic and can enjoy a special buffet dinner. Reservations are required. Call toll-free 1.877.922.5465 to sign-up.

This dinner/lecture program is the second in a series of three planned this fall. The last lecture of the season by Dr. Dong-Gi Hong, on Alzheimer's disease, will be held November 7 at Parkwood Heights in Macedon.
