Red Cross golf in Wolcott

On Sunday, September 9, the Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross will be partnering with Walmart and the East Port Bay Golf Course located at 7430 East Port Bay Rd, Wolcott, to sponsor the Driving for Disaster Relief Golf Tournament.

The tournament is an 18-hole best ball tournament. There will be prizes at four holes for hole-in-one. Those include; a set of Hogan BHS Offset Irons, a Dell Computer System, a Bose Wave Radio Music System, and an 8-day 7-night airfare and accommodations for two to Hawaii. Refreshments and lunch will be served on the course. The golf tournament will also feature numerous raffle prize give aways, 50/50s, and much more. Tee-Time is 12:30 p.m.

A post tournament buffet will be held at the Wolcott Elks Club located at 6161 West Port Bay Rd., Wolcott. Dinner will start at 6.

All proceeds to benefit the Local Disaster Relief Fund. With those funds, the Chapter is able to help families that are displaced in Wayne County due to house fires and floods. The fund also also helps to provide valuable mental health assistance following a disaster.
