Special Remembrance Day in Savannah

9-11-079/11 has become a special day to Americans, not only to mourn our fallen, but also to pay tribute to our veterans, and our police and fireman, who have devoted their lives to keeping us safe. We invite all to join us for the Tribute to America on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 6:30 PM at the Horse Arena on the Potato Festival Field on Route 31 just west of town for a tribute to the soldier, the fireman and the policeman.

Under the direction of Betty Johnson, the Savannah Horse arena has been providing this tribute since 2001. Combining the skills of horsemanship and artistry, a drill team presentation with flags and music will highlight this great country as we salute our police, fireman and serviceman. All veterans, police officers and fire companies from the surrounding areas are invited to participate in this Patriots day celebration.

If you are planning on attending, please notify Betty Johnson at 315.365.2656. This event is free to the public and all are welcome to attend. After the Tribute to America, there will be a barrel race.

Food and beverage is available on the field. Please remember to bring your own chairs.

Join us as we collectively remember September 11, 2001 and the people who continue to help make our Nation safe and respected.
