Savannah Dhu hosts Catholic Charities this Friday

Catholic Charities of Wayne County will hold its second annual fundraiser at Savannah Dhu on Friday September 14 beginning at 5 p.m. The evening will include a reception-style (limited seating) dinner prepared by Savannah Dhu's world-class chefs; self-guided tours of the Conference Barn and Pines Lodge; and unique raffle and silent auction items such as a week in a Gold-Crown rated 2-bedroom condo in the Orlando area during the February 2008 school break, a guided fishing trip for six that includes breakfast and lunch at Savannah Dhu, and many other exciting items.

The evening's activities will be emceed by WBEE's Terry Clifford and will include the presentation of the Annual Community Service Award to Flora Appleton, Marie T. Butler, Janice M. Freiberger, Susan E. Hallings, Lucille Hamlin, Mary L. Henning, Jean S. Johnson, Shirley A. Raufeisen, and Pauline Reeners, members of the Social Ministry Committee of St. Patrick's Church in Macedon.

Catholic Charities of Wayne County provides services throughout the County with an emphasis on service to low income families. Programs include: College Bound, Community Outreach, Early Intervention, General Counseling, La Casa, and PINS Diversion and Counseling. This fundraiser is the only fund raising event of the year and the money raised will support these important programs.
