Rabies Clinics planned

Wayne County Public Health Service together with Lyons Veterinary Clinic is pleased to announce the dates for Fall Rabies Clinics for pets. Clinics will be held at 4 different locations throughout Wayne County, providing all county residents with easy access. Rabies, a potentially fatal disease, continues to be an important public health threat to both humans and domestic animals/livestock.

State Law requires all DOGS, CATS, and FERRETS, 4 months of age and over be vaccinated against rabies. In addition, your dog license now expires when your rabies vaccination expires. Pet owners are asked to bring vaccination records if they have any, with them to the clinic as proof of prior vaccination.

A $5 donation is requested to help defray the cost of the clinics, but no pet will be denied vaccination due to any inability to donate. Dogs must be leashed and cats/ferrets confined in some type of secure carrier to prevent escapes and injuries. Please be a responsible pet owner and vaccinate your pet.
