At the Potato Fest

On Saturday, September 22, you will enjoy the band Diamond Someday which features a three-part female harmony backed by six excellently played instruments. They will be performing from Noon until 4 at the entertainment tent at the Potato Fest in Savannah.

Backyard Circus

The Muckland Crooners will take the stage at 5:30 until the Giant Fireworks at 8:30. The Muckland Crooners come from Phelps and they have some interesting and fun songs about Potatoes.

The Potato Fest opens on Friday, September 21 at Noon with Seniors Day. The Homestead band will be playing from 2-4 nestled between magic shows. At 6, there will be a Consignment Auction under the pavilion and a Mini-Tractor Pull and an Open Barrel Race in the horse arena. The Photography Contest and Fall Floral Contests are both judged on Friday evening, and on Saturday, the Potato Cooking Contest at Noon, the Potato Gun Contest at 2 and the Potato Peeling Contest at 6.

Some of the Main Events on Saturday will be a 10 a.m. Parade, The Finger Lakes Air Pirate Show, and the Potato Wresting Show at 4. The Antique Tractor Pull and ATV Mud Bog will begin at Noon and an Open Game show will begin at the Horse Arena at 1.

Children Activities will be available Saturday and Sunday featuring the Backyard Circus (pictured), Clown Town and more Magic Shows along with the Potato Art Contest.

Everyday will feature a large flea and craft show, cake raffle, a chicken barbecue and huge food court. Playland Amusements with Joseph and Roberta Sofo will feature an enlarged fun area for the family on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (Saturday is Pay One Price from 1 to 4.)

Sunday, September 23 starts with All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast at 7:30 and a church service begins at 8. The water starts to flow with the Firemen's Water Ball Contest in the baseball diamond at 10; the engines start to roar at the tractor track with the super modified tractor pull and cars will arrive for a large Car Show at Noon.

The Final Music Performance for Potato fest will be the All Elvis Review from Noon to 4 at the Entertainment tent. The Championship Barrel Race will begin at 1 at the Horse Arena.

This is all located on the Potato Fest Field just west of the hamlet of Savannah on Route 31. There is a $2 fee for adults and youth older than 16 years of age but there is no charge for parking.
