Reservations needed for book review lunch

The April 11 noon book review luncheon will be hosted by the Friends of the Newark Public Library.

Nancy Rubery of Canandaigua will speak about Richard Russo's novel, Bridge of Sighs. The author has been called the patron saint of small town fiction and was a 2002 Pulitzer Prize winner for Empire Falls.

If you remember afternoons spent at your hometown theater, expect to be surprised as you identify with his cast of characters in Bridge of Sighs, which has a connection between upstate New York and Venice Italy.

Reservations are $4 and should be made by calling 331.4370 by April 9
