East Palmyra students
collect crutches for Iraqis

collect crutches for IraqisThe Student Council of the East Palmyra Christian School organized a school crutch collection to benefit wounded civilians in Iraq.

Crutches are desperately needed for injured Iraqis, who often lack even basic medical supplies. Fifth grade Student Council representative Meredith Kellogg is shown with some of the crutches.

Student Council sponsored a bake sale to raise funds to pay for shipping the crutches to Iraq. Several pairs of crutches were donated; Student Council members wrapped the crutches and sent them overseas.
