FL Symphony concert in Palmyra

The Finger Lakes Symphony Orchestra (FLSO) welcomes spring with a refreshing concert of classical favorites on Saturday, April 12.

The 7 p.m. performance at Palmyra United Methodist Church features works by Schubert and Beethoven.

Conductor Diego Garcia will lead the orchestra through Franz Schubert's unfinished Symphony No. 8 in B Minor, movements I, Allegro moderato, and II, Andante con moto.

Also on the program is Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C Minor. Garcia will guide the orchestra through movements I Allegro con brio, II Andante con moto, III Allegro, and IV, Allegro Presto.

Tickets are $7 and $5 (senior citizens).

Events for the orchestra include a July 6, 2 p.m., performance at the Sodus Point Light House; a July 9, 7 p.m. concert at Geneva Lakefront Park; and a July 10, 7 p.m. concert at Casey Park, Ontario.
