Newark museum seeks Canal artifacts

The Newark-Arcadia Museum is looking for artifacts pertaining to the Erie Canal for its next exhibit. Items may be loaned, or donated.

The exhibit's grand opening will be June 13-15, in conjunction with Newark Family Festival( and will conclude March 2009). Items of interest include photographs (pre-1970 preferred), paintings, drawings, Student History Jamboree Projects, recreational items, memorabilia, early maps, books, etc.

Please call 331.6409 or stop by the museum if you have possible items to loan or donate.
