Dinner Friday at Eureka Grange, Lyons

Assemblyman Robert Oaks will be a guest at Eureka Grange, Lyons, on Friday, April 25. He and Rebecca Gamba, of Lyons Central School will be honored for assisting with the successful grant application for the Grange.

The grant was used for a new roof on the historic Grange Hall on the corner of Canal and Phelps Streets in Lyons. Until the Grange purchased the building in 1951, it had been a business block since the 1800's. It suffered a fire previous to being purchased by the Grange. The Lyons Public Library, which recently moved into their new building, had occupied the ground floor since 1966.

The evening will begin with a dish to share dinner at 6 p.m. Please bring table service also.

Following the dinner, a program with the theme 'Keep on Trucking' will be presented by the lecturer. Included in the program will be tips on sharing the road with trucks and other short items. Certificates will be presented to our honorees also. The public is invited.
