Happenings August 2, 1894 - In Marion, there is a week-long attraction. It is a 5 cent show under a tent. Harold and Eleanor Schoonerman and their families, were host families for the Adriaansen Reunion, last Sunday. The gathering was held at the home of Rod and Helen Adriaansen as they have a pool. Folks came from far and wide to check with aunts and uncles and their many cousins. A pulled pork supper with scrumptious side dishes was served at five o'clock, ending the meal with assorted and plentiful ice cream cones. July 19, 1913 - Frank I. Stacey, who is canvassing the town for the sale of the 'Story of the Bible' by Hurlbutt, will remain during the summer and supply the pulpit of the Christian Church.
