Kids win awards at Lyons Library

The Lyons Public Library awards ceremony to end the summer reading program is August 16 at 11 a.m. in the community room.

Entertainment will be provided by the children and teens who participated in the library's three week song writing workshop series. The mini-concert will feature original songs written by the participants and accompanied by Nancy and John Bryan of Clyde who conducted the workshops. The mini-concert is made possible by a grant from the Robert G. Boehmler Foundation.

Reading club participants will receive a certificate, book and prizes. Refreshments will be served.
