Carnival August 16 at Sodus church

The Bible Baptist Church of Sodus will host a Community Carnival on Saturday. The event is FREE admission and will begin at 10 a.m., ending at 1 p.m. (Rain date Aug. 17 from 1 to 4.)

Jay Riggleman, church pastor, said there are over 15 games and activities including Bounce House, Bungee Run, NASCAR Pit, Dunk Tank, Illusion Show and Classic Cars.

In addition to the games, the church will give away 200 backpacks and school supplies to young participants while supplies last.

Wayne Deputies will be there registering children as part of Operation Safe Child. Young children will receive an identification card.

Hots, hamburgers, sno-cones, cotton candy, homemade pies and refreshments will be available. Nothing will cost over $1.

The Church is located at 6181 Ridge Rd. between the Reed Eye Center and Pratt Rd.; 483.9886.
