"Extreme Makeover" in Geneva
By John Zornow

Extreme Makeover houseThe Hill family of Geneva, Ontario County, was about to leave for a quick trip to Cancun as crews from the television hit show Extreme Makeover : Home Edition could build them a brand new house.

Tim Hill of 148 William St. was an aspiring boxer whose boxing dreams were shattered when he broke his back while working on construction. Unable to box anymore, Tim went back to college for a degree in social work and took a position as a counselor for high school kids. It was at that time that he started the Geneva Boxing team. He has been training kids, age 8 to 21 to box for free and pays all expenses out of his pocket. Many of the kids come from broken and impoverished homes. The boxing John Littlefield of Extreme Makeover experience gives them a renewed sense of pride and has resulted in 3 Olympic hopefuls.

Makeover star and team leader, Ty Pennington and his design team arrived in Geneva on Monday and started the process that will result in a new home for the Hill family and improved boxing gym for area teens.
