Health Fair Sept. 6 in Clyde The first Clyde Children's Health Fair will be held Saturday, September 6, from 10 to 2. The idea for this special health fair is the result of recognizing the need for up-to- date information for parents and children about programs and services available in Wayne County that parents and children might not be aware of. The Wayne County Rural Health Network and its staff have arranged exhibits and activities to inform, educate, and engage everyone who attends the event. The Wayne County Rural Health Network Board of Directors was pleased to approve the project. Susan Castellano, a Clyde resident and project assistant for the network, assembled a planning committee for the event comprised of many organizations in Wayne County, including Cornell Cooperative Extension, Via Health of Wayne, the Clyde-Savannah School district and the village board. Two Clyde-Savannah high school students, Andrew Castellano and Stephanie Gokey, are helping plan the fair. Parents and children can look forward to a day of fun, games and information - all easily accessed in the Clyde Village Park. Among the participating agencies are Sodus Community Health Center, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Wayne County Public Health, Wayne County Diabetes Coalition, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, the Caring Clowns, and many others.
