Car crashes into tree,
parked truck, and police car

The 100 block of East Miller St. was closed off to traffic at around 9 p.m. Friday evening after a car driven by Jose A. Morales, 18, of Willow Avenue, Newark, went out of control while making a turn from South Main St., hit a parked truck in front of 103 East Miller St. The vehicle continued out of control, took out a village tree, and crashed into a freshly painted black & white patrol car.

Morales was charged by Newark patrolman Randy Rice with speed not reasonable, fail to keep right, reckless driving and DWI
