Holiday Boutique at Museum of History in Lyons LYONS - The Christmas trees are back and so is the Holiday Boutique at the Museum of Wayne County History. Hundreds of visitors came last year to enjoy the decorated trees that filled the museum and bought their holiday decorations and Christmas presents from the artisans and crafters placed throughout the museum. This year many artisans are back and some new ones too: Cathy Finely's beaded jewelry, Anne Salerno with juniper wreaths, artwork by Judy Shumway, floral arrangements from the Settlers Post, woodworking and wood turning by Phil Paliotti, chain mail jewelry by Sharon Caves, Christmas decorations by Lillian DeMarco, quilts and more by Kathy Lewis, Mark Whitney and Forest Rat Photography, greeting cards by Loreen Jorgensen, Nascar and sports plaques by Jeffrey Deppen, woodworking by Kenneth Deppen, photography by Denise Eaton, holiday crafts by Marsha Fuller and Cheryl Cramer, decorated Eggs by Diana Prutzman, quilts by Suzanne and Christine Pohorence, pen and ink drawings by Donna Conklin, handcrafted and vintage jewelry by Sue Norris and Maureen Williams, a handmade jewelry by Sara Shumway. Lunch will be served on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and deserts and coffee will be available all day, every day. This year the Holiday Boutique has expanded hours: Friday, Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7 from noon to 4 p.m. The museum will also be selling raffle tickets for several unique prizes donated by area artists and merchants, including a Wii gaming system. The theme for the large Christmas tree in the changing exhibition room will be Picture This and the tree will be decorated some of the museums collection of daguerreotype pictures.
