Museum installs chair lift

LYONS - The Museum of Wayne County History has three floors of exhibition space, but some visitors could previously only enjoy one, because of the stairs.

Now, thanks to a grant from the Marshall Family Foundation, the museum has purchased and installed a chair lift to the second floor. The chair was purchased from and installed by Victory Lifts in East Syracuse. The chair lift is easy to operate and can be operated remotely.

The museum will be closed from Dec. 19 through Jan. 13. For more information, call 946-4943 or visit www.waynehistory.org. The museum is located at 21 Butternut St. in Lyons.
