State snowmobile safety course offered Jan. 17

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office Recreation Safety Division will be offering the N.Y. State Snowmobile Safety Course. This course is being co-sponsored by The Old Erie Rides and The Lakeshore Snow Devils Snowmobile Clubs. The course is open to youth operators and is required for anyone 10 to 18 years of age who wishes to operate on public trails. The course will be January 17 at the Wayne Co. Fire Training Building located behind the Sheriff's Office. This will be the last class offered by the Sheriff's Office this season. The training will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at about 4:30 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling 946-5714. Those attending need to bring a pen. Lunch will be provided by the snowmobile clubs.
