Holiday cooking demonstration
and pie-baking contest
NEWARK — Join Dave
Howard, active community
member, director of
property development at
Hillside Children’s Center
and longtime food service
professional, will be at the
library 11 a.m. Saturday,
Dec. 13, for a holiday cooking
demonstration.
Learn how to prepare an
elegant party dish on a limited
budget. Then, sample
Howard’s creations.
Cost is $2.
A pie-baking contest will
follow. Contestants may
enter one pie of their
choice. The recipe must accompany
the entry.
Pies will be judged by
Howard on appearance,
creativity and flavor.
A first-place prize will
be awarded.
If entering the pie-baking
contest only, there is no
cost. All pies should be at
the library by 12:30 p.m.
Register for both events
no later than Thursday,
Dec. 11.
