Holiday Spirit Week sponsor named

NEWARK — Reliant Community Credit Union is this year’s sponsor of Newark’s second annual Holiday Spirit Week, Dec. 3 to 14.

The Chamber of Commerce invites residents and visitors to attend the numerous holiday events, including the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra concert Thursday, Dec. 4 and the Christmas tree lighting in Central Park Friday, Dec. 5.

The chamber is hosting a "dine, shop and visit around" opportunity during the week with local businesses, restaurants, museums and galleries. With a purchase or visit, participating businesses will stamp customers to be entered into a drawing for prizes.

The following businesses are participating: Burnham’s Canalside, Parker’s Grille & Tap House, Pontillo’s Pizzeria, America’s Decor & America’s Mattress, The Apple Shed, Boynton’s Jewelry, Concord Ford-Lincoln-Mercury, Graham’s LP Gas, Iomasda Karate, K&M Liquor, Newark Village Pharmacy, Reliant Community Credit Union, Rose Bowl Lanes, Ruffalo Appliance, Secor Home & Hardware, Sewert Family Chiropractor Center, South Main Emporium, Verizon Wireless, the Newark Wegman’s, Alex Eligh Community Center, Hoffman Clock Museum, Marbletown Schoolhouse, Newark-Arcadia Historical Museum, Newark Canal Port Murals, Newark Public Library, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra holiday performance, Wayne ARC holiday sale, Wayne County Council of the Arts.

The chamber’s holiday open house will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3 at the chamber office. There will be refreshments and door prizes. A calendar of events for the week will also be available.
