Legion dinner Saturday in Newark The New York Commanders, American Legion, President of Ladies Auxiliary, and Commander Sons of the American Legion will be making a visitation to Wayne County on Feb. 9. There will be a press conference at 11:30 a.m. at the Palmyra Legion Home followed by lunch, before touring Harbec Plastics in Ontario. There will be a dinner at the Newark Legion Home with social time at 6, and dinner at 7 p.m. Attending will be State Commander William Burnett from Lockport, State President Carol Johnson from Unadilla, State SAL Commander Gerald Ketchum from Canandaigua. Also attending is 7th District Commander Michael Andrews from Seneca Falls, 7th District President Bonnie Sonneville from Ontario, NY and 7th District SAL Commander James Cortes from Ionia, as well as Wayne County Commander Harry Pickard, from Ontario, Wayne County President Linda Tome from Palmyra and Wayne County SAL Commander James Parks from Ontario. Other dignitaries from NYS are John Gawlik Dept. 7 & 8th District Department Vice Commander from Lyons, and Paul Mitras, National Exec. Committeman from Wallington.
