Program in Williamson, on the White Deer The natural beauty and rich biodiversity of New York State is sometimes taken for granted by all of us. A 'Program Sandwiched In' presented by Williamson Friends of the Library on Wednesday, Feb. 20 will serve as a reminder of the commitment that is required to preserve our environment. (An optional lunch may be reserved by calling the library at 589.2048 by 2 p.m. on February 16.) Dennis Money, a conservationist and wildlife preservationist, will speak on current issues that affect our natural surroundings. Money is the Chairman of Seneca White Deer, Inc., a not-for-profit group that is seeking a satisfactory resolution to the controversy over the fate of the white deer herd living in the Seneca Depot. He has also served as an environmental analyst for RG&E, founder and project manager for the Rochester Peregrine Falcon Project and was instrumental in establishing the NYS River Otter Project. He'll share slides to illustrate the wildlife resources of the area and discuss options to preserve and foster diverse wildlife ecosystems that enrich communities and the quality of life in them. Representatives from Trail Works, Inc. will also tell about their efforts to develop trails in Wayne County so that all can share the great outdoors. The program starts at noon in the library's Community Room and is free and open to all. Copyright
