Egypt Night at Newark Middle School An interdisciplinary study of ancient Egypt that involved social studies and English Language Arts culminated Thursday with 'Egypt Night' at Newark Middle School. Parents, students, siblings and others viewed impressive displays of the sixth graders work in classrooms, hallways and display cases While students made their projects at home, they learned about ancient Egypt as part of their social studies classes and did research for their projects and developed project explanations in their ELA classes. Student projects that were in display cases at Egypt Night will remain in the display cases for a few weeks.
