MOMS meet Jan. 7 in Newark

Newark & Palmyra chapter of the International MOMS Club is celebrating its second year on January 7, at First United Methodist Church of Newark. A monthly business meeting starts at 9:30 with snacks, fun and games to follow.

The MOMS Club is an organization for stay-at-home mothers, who work from home or work part time.

Activities occur during the day when mothers need support the most. Children are welcome to all functions. There is one MOMS Night Out each month.

They helped WACK with their Christmas party by having games for the kids to play while they waited to see Santa. MOMS - Mothers Offering Mothers Support - held a garage sale to replace and improve the toys at Alex Eligh Community Center. They marched in the Newark Rose Parades in 2006 and 2007.
