Woolfolk scores 1000th point for Reds

Lady Reds basketball player Shakista Woolfolk scored her 1000th career point during the holiday break, in a game vs. St. Michael's, in New York City.

The Newark 11th grader joins Alyssa Fenyn in that elite category for the girls team. It marks the first time the Lady Reds have had two 1000-point scorers in their line-up at the same time.

Coach Diane Kirnie said, 'I am extremely proud of Shakista and what she has accomplished. She always works hard in the off season, and it has shown so far this season.'
