Smith, Tarantelli have recipes in Wal-Mart Cookbook

Two Newark women are Wal-Mart Recipe Contest winners.

Jotting down a recipe to share with a friend or family member is common, but having your own recipe selected by a panel of professional home economists and published in a family cookbook is something very exciting.

Dolores Smith and Nancy A. Tarantelli of Newark entered their recipes for 'Spanish Rice Casserole' and 'Italian Love Cake.' The recipes were chosen from thousands of entries. The book is being sold now at Wal-Mart.

Their recipes and a photo of each dish occupy a full page in the 2008 Wal-Mart Family Cookbook, now available at Wal-Mart stores.

Continuing a popular tradition now in its seventh year, Wal-Mart invites their 1.3 million associates nationwide to share favorite recipes and enter this exciting recipe search.

The Wal-Mart Family Cookbook becomes the ultimate collection of delicious, family-tested favorites for anyone to make and enjoy at home.

The cookbook is spiral bound. Each recipe is accompanied by a full-color photograph of the prepared dish and a brief story about why it is so special to the winning associate.
