Happenings Fran (DeVries) Van Staalduinen and sister Debbie (DeVries) Keiser, both from Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed through Marion between Christmas and New Years Day to visit their sister Beth (DeVries) Rainner in Homer who is undergoing cancer treatments. The sisters all grew up on Cole Road, Marion. 'Happiness is found along the way - not at the end of the road.' There will be a baked ziti dinner at Marion High School on January 14, from 4:30 to 7 to benefit Nick Newman (Monica & Arnie Deyo's grandson), who was paralyzed in an ATV accident in November. All proceeds will go to help with the expenses and traveling that the family is experiencing. Tickets available at Marion Schools and Town Hall. Adults $6, children under 12 $4. Parents Hank and Pearl were invited for New Year's Day dinner and celebration. Tony and Kay Bonetti spent the holidays with their son, Tony Jr. and Maureen and four grandchildren in Burlington, Massachusetts.
