Breakfast Jan. 20 benefits Barber Scholarship Fund A hotcake and sausage breakfast will be held on Sunday, January 20 at the Williamson McDonalds to benefit the Timothy L. Barber Memorial Scholarship Fund. Tim was an employee at McDonalds in Williamson and as a tribute to him, McDonalds has sponsored the breakfast each year since his death. The Scholarship Fund was established by Wayne Action for Racial Equality (WARE), a group in which Tim was actively involved. The fund provides scholarships to two Wayne County seniors who, like Tim, have worked toward achieving racial equality and are active in school, church and the community. Hotcakes, sausage, coffee or milk, and juice will be served from 7 to 11. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 10 years old. Tickets must be purchased in advance, at McDonalds or by calling Denise DeValk at 483.4256. Copyright
