Grant helps Galen Museum
buy file cabinets

The Galen Historical Society has received an $883 grant from the Hoffman Foundation. This is the exact amount needed to purchase the fire-safe file cabinet, which will house a portion of the ongoing Genealogy Project.

Florence DeSanto has spent two years pulling together and updating the collection. The new fire-safe cabinet will allow her to continue adding to the files and she will be able to accept information from Clyde families to add for future research. Galen Historical Society welcomes anyone who wishes to research their family heritage.

The grant allows the museum to have three large file cabinets, making extensive family heritage a large part of the museum mission.
