CCE agriculture enrollment in progress The Cornell Cooperative Extension Wayne County 2008 enrollment process is underway. If you currently operate any type of farm operation or are thinking of starting one, you need to be in contact with regional specialists. Wayne County has access to more than 16 regional specialists in the areas of fruit, berries, vegetable, dairy, field crops, grains and livestock. Commercial and fresh market, small farm and large farm, as well as commodity and specialty crops are covered through each of our regional teams. If you are involved in the agriculture industry, you need to be connected. Enrollment information was sent out to past participants last week. Each enrollment is $65 for the first team and $50 for the second team if you want to receive information from more than one team. Each team sends out a monthly newsletter plus additional information during the growing and harvesting seasons. There are also reduced rates for workshops and conferences if you are enrolled in the programs. Each team is funded through a partnership of Cornell Cooperative Extension, county government, state and federal government and local program participation fees. It is through this partnership that CCE Wayne County is able to provide this agriculture expertise to our local growers.
