Tellier Road Bridge nearing completion
Story and photos by Beth Hoad

Wayne County Highway Foreman Bill Mead Crews of five Wayne County Highway employees, 14 riggers, operators, laborers and supervisors from Empire Constructors, four NYSEG crewmen and 14 tractor-trailer drivers were on hand to begin construction of the new Tellier Rd. Bridge in mid-June.

The bridge was closed to traffic in order to replace the steel deck bridge that was red-flagged by state inspectors last summer.

Wayne County Highway Foreman Bill Mead said paving crews will be there beginning Monday, and he is expecting that guardrails will be installed for tentative opening on July 11. Mead is pictured building paving boxes used to protect the area where guardrails will be secured during paving.

Also pictured are rigging and installation crews from Empire Constructors installing the 10 foot by 25 foot pre-cast concrete culvert sections.
