Art in Public Places unveils Clyde mural

Art In Public Places will celebrate a new mural, painted by Corky Goss and Chip Miller, in Clyde, on July 10 at 6:30 p.m. on the Clyde village green, 81 Glasgow St. The event is free and open to the public.

The mural, commissioned by Mrs. Sharon Rice, is related to local family history. Titled 'Citizens Bank, 1930,' the mural depicts an interior scene of the bank as it was in 1930, and is installed in the second story of the bank building, which is now a flower shop.

Goss is a professor of art at Cazenovia College and is chair of the Syracuse Public Arts Council. Miller teaches art at Baker High School in Baldwinsville. They are working on a series of murals related to the Erie Canal in New York State.
