Dear neighbors: Are you doing anything I can put in 'Happenings?' Get in touch with me please.

It's time to pick the currants and make the jelly!

Ed Krocke tells me he can remember when he got seven gallons of gas for $1.

I'd like to thank all of you who supported the soccer travel teams, by attending the BBQ and pork dinner.

At 10 o'clock on July 15, the work crew arrived at 'Jennie's House' ready and willing to help sweep, scrub and move the movable! Those assisting were Barbara DeWandel, Jane Ballesty and boys, Aidan and Brian, Sue Devlin, Ann Bliss, Joyce Cantwell, Priscilla Flack and Carol Ramsey. Come on August 23 to see what was accomplished. The Library will celebrate its 100th anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. that day.

Daemen College Dean's List students include Ryan Mulhern, of Cory Corners Road, who earned a GPA of 3.30 or better.

'The real measure of our wealth is how much we should be worth - if we lost our money.'

Early Marion, July 29, 1943 - A doll parade will take place this Friday afternoon at the Community Playground which opened Monday under the auspices of the Community Council. Prizes will be awarded.

Pioneer Gas Engine Reunion is this weekend, at Marion Town Park

Last Thursday - Sister Barb and I met with cousins, Betty and Jeannette at Erie Falcon in Newark, for lunch and conversation. We ended at Betty's for more talk and creme brulee. (I'll let you know where we go next month).
