Blood drive July 29 at Legion Post 286

American Red Cross will host a Community That Cares blood drive on Tuesday, July 29 from noon to 7, at American Legion Post 286, 200 East Union Street, Newark.

A Community That Cares blood drive provides the opportunity for various community groups to come together for a common, larger blood drive. The purpose of the drive to help boost regional blood supplies by enlisting community support particularly during the summer months when blood inventories can be at their lowest.

All presenting donors at all blood drives through July 31 are eligible to enter a random drawing to win a weekend getaway worth $1000. All current and new donors are urged to call 1.800.448. 3543) or visit
