The Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation Program will be sponsoring the 'Helping Hearts' Cardiac Rehabilitation Walk on Saturday, June 14 as part of the Newark Rose Parade.

The walk is being held to raise funds for scholarships for cardiac rehab patients. Community members are invited to support the effort by participating as a walker or by making a donation towards the scholarship program.

Those participating are asked to meet near the former Ames building in the Newark Plaza (look for a sign and grey T-shirts), at noon. Snacks and bottled water will be provided. T-shirts will be provided to the first 50 walkers.
