Newark Ensemble at
Rochester International Jazz Festival

Rochester International Jazz Festival The Newark High School Jazz Ensemble will be one of 18 high school jazz bands performing during the Rochester International Jazz Festival.

Newark's Jazz Ensemble will perform June 21 at 4:30 p.m. on the Jazz Street Stage, corner of Gibbs Street and East Avenue.

Ensemble Director Dave Schwind said, 'This is the second time we've been invited to perform in this festival, and we are all very excited.'

Rochester International Jazz Festival (RIJF) is one of the nation's fastest-growing music festivals. As part of the festival each afternoon, two high school jazz bands will be performing on the Jazz Street Stage.

Music fans can enjoy more than 600 musicians performing in 220 plus concerts. The Festival is presented in four series and held in 18 venues in and around the East End Cultural District in downtown Rochester.
