Sign kids up for program at Williamson Library

What do you get when you bring children, dogs and books together? You get happy, confident children who love to read.

Williamson Public Library presents a Children Reading with Dogs Program.

On Tuesdays - during 'Catch the Reading Bug' - children will be offered the chance to practice their reading skills with specially trained dogs. These wonderful dogs are patient and great listeners. This program is intended for newly independent or reluctant readers, children with special needs, or any child who needs extra practice reading.

The library will offer two programs. The dogs will be available for 15 minutes one-on-one reading sessions which require additional registration, or children can stop in with no registration for a group storytime with Darci the Therapy Dog.

Registration will begin on June 30. Space is limited for the one-on-one sessions. Call Michelle Byrne at 589.2048 if you have questions.
