Dodge will be honored at April 4 dinner

Sodus Chamber of Commerce announced that Pauline Dodge is the Citizen of the Year.

She works at the Sodus Free Library and donates her time and energy to the Presbyterian Church, Sodus Cemetery Association and the Eastern Stars to name a few.

The public is invited to attend the banquet to honor Pauline, along with the Sodus Rotary AgriBusiness. The banquet will be held on April 4, at the Sodus Bay Heights Restaurant. The celebration starts at 6 with cocktail snacks followed by dinner at 7 p.m. A steamship round of beef buffet will also feature meatless pasta, baked chicken, Virginia baked ham as well as potatoes, mixed vegetables, coffee and dessert.

Dinner tickets are advanced sale for $23 per person and are available at The Sodus Free Library on Maple Ave, Fox Law Office, Main St. (483.6733), Sodus Curves, Maple Ave, (483.1222) or by contacting the Chamber at 315.398.8473.

Deadline for ticket sales is March 28, and no tickets will be available at the door.

A total of $7500 in scholarships have been awarded since 2003 and this year it is hoped to raise even more than last year' $1800 which enabled six scholarships to be awarded. Raffle tickets are three for $10 are available from any Chamber member and the dozens of items will be on display at Curves on Maple Ave.
