Five libraries will receive funding Assemblyman Robert C. Oaks of Macedon announced that five local libraries will get grant funding, which will be used to defer some, if not all, of the cost of construction projects at their facilities. These funds are being provided by a special $14 million 2007 legislative appropriation for construction and renovation of public libraries and library systems in New York State. The Hannibal Free Library is receiving $18,622 for repairs to their facility, as well as the installation of a motorized chairlift for accessibility to the second floor. The Lyons Public Library is being awarded $22,584 to purchase new furniture. The Palmyra Kings Daughters Free Library is receiving $75,500 for the purchase of a building on their lot. The Sodus Free Library is receiving $14,000 for the replacement of their roof. Finally, the Wolcott Civic Free Library is receiving $18,686 for a new HVAC system. Copyright
