Israel program March 19 in Williamson

There is nowhere in the world that is more in today's spotlight than Israel.

Regarded as a holy land by Judaism, Christianity and Islam, it has for centuries been the epicenter of conflict and turmoil. It is also a place of diverse cultures spanning thousands of years Jews, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Ottomans and Westerners have struggled to maintain their hold on this tiny piece of real estate.

Declared an independent state in 1948, Israel continues to fight for its survival.

Sodus resident, Alan Pritchard, will reveal this fascinating land with a talk and pictures for the Friends of the Williamson Free Public Library Program Sandwiched In on Wednesday, March 19, at noon in the community room.

An optional lunch may be reserved by calling 589.2048 by March 17.
