Putting together an
'Historical Deck of Cards'

card face The Wayne County Museum is creating a deck of playing cards that will feature 55 different historical photos.

The deck will offer historical photos, and educational facts and text that highlight the history of Wayne County.

The deck also offers a unique opportunity for the community to get involved with its historical society. Each one of the card faces may be sponsored by an individual, a village, town, organization or club who is interested.

From individuals who may want to put, In Memory of or maybe, In Honor of, to businesses who may want to list their company name, a phone number or even a website. The sponsorships vary in price from $85 to $250, and card sponsors can even supply their own photo if it is 20 years or older and fits with the theme of the deck.

Besides raising money, the historical society wants to create an acute awareness of their organization.

Recently, card games have made a huge resurgence in popularity. Wayne County and its history will become part of the playing card craze.

Your County Museum wishes to preserve its past for future generations to see and use. This deck is part of the education and preservation of that history.
