Sodus Scouts Back Pack Buddies Girl Scouts in the Sodus/Sodus Point Service Unit are holding a food drive to collect food for the Back Pack Buddies program at the Sodus Primary School. The program, which started last year with Food Link of Rochester, the First United Presbyterian Church of Sodus, and the Sodus Primary School, sends home much needed food with students for holiday breaks and long weekends. Food Link provides food for 30 backpacks; with the help of the Presbyterian Church, the Sodus Lions Club, the Church of God, the Boy Scouts, and the Girl Scouts, they filled 48 backpacks for families in Sodus. The Girl Scouts are collecting food donations at Paton's Marketplace on March 29, from 9 to 2. Items needed include cereal, crackers, granola and fruit bars, macaroni and cheese, Ramen noodles, peanut butter, jelly, soup mixes, oatmeal, microwave popcorn.
