Sodus CROP Walk is Sunday

The Sodus CROP Walk will take place Sunday, May 4, starting with 1 p.m. registration and the walk beginning at 1:30 p.m.

CROP Walk raises money for the hungry of the world. One-fourth of all funds raised by Sodus CROP walk stays here in the Town of Sodus. Local agencies that benefit are the Sodus Nutrition Site and the Sodus Point United Methodist Church Food Pantry.

Walkers recruit sponsors who then make donations for their walker who completes the six-mile course which winds through the village. There is also a one-mile course for those who might find six miles beyond their ability.

Sodus CROP Walk is sponsored by the Sodus Council of Churches and supervised by Church World Service, which also directs some of the funds to hunger and self-help projects around the world.
