May 1942 - 2389 applications were received and 2157 war ration books were issued in the four-day sugar rationing registration conducted at Marion Central School last week. Today the school is completing the issuing of gasoline ration cards. Every member of the faculty assisted in the sugar rationing program and many students also aided.

HELP! Gord has retired from his part-time job!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service for Nellie DeWispelaere on May 24 at 2 p.m. at Second Reformed Church on Mill Street. Reception to follow.

Seminarian Jeff Kelley presented the morning sermon, 'The Well of Salvation,' May 11 at the Second Reformed Church.

It's Spring! You can tell by the laundry blowing on the clothes line in the back yard, at the home of Sylvia Magee Harding, in East Palmyra.

May 11, 1928 - Several hundred attended the sale of pure bred cattle at the John Rich farm. Nation's most famous auctioneer present. Buyers from New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Canada.
