Lyons band honors military with EchoTaps Saturday
echo taps

The Lyons High School Band will pay tribute - with Echo Taps - to those who have served/are serving in the armed forces.

This takes place on Armed Forces Day, May 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Lyons Village Park.

Spectators may show their support by wearing red, white and blue for the event.The event will feature the playing of Taps on the streets leading to the park, followed by a short program in the park. The band's brass section will play Taps. Students from other sections will carry flags and stand with the players.

After the 5:30 playing of Taps, students will proceed to the park for a formal playing of Taps and some brief remarks. The students will wear red, white and blue for EchoTaps.
