Anderson, markham artwork on exhibit

The exhibit of works by Oscar Anderson continues in the main gallery at the Wayne County Council for the Arts, through the end of May.

The small gallery is dedicated to paintings by Wolcott artist, rl markham.

The galleries and gift shop are open Thursday and Friday, 1 to 4 and Saturday, 10 to 4, at 108 West Miller St., Newark. For information, 331.4593.

Wayne County area artists should get their work framed and mounted for the June exhibit, Gardens. Artwork on this theme will be accepted at Wayne Arts June 5 and 6, from 1 to 4. Each artist may submit up to three pieces for an entry fee of $15.

The exhibit will coincide with the Newark Rose Festival. A Victorian Tea reception is planned at Vintage Gardens Bed and Breakfast on Thursday, June 12, 4 to 7. The show continues at Wayne Arts through July 5.

June 14, Wayne Arts will host a lawn sale, in conjunction with the Rose Festival Parade. Donate gently used, unique and practical items beginning May 22. Please, no clothing or electrical appliances.
