Newark Police were out in force Saturday morning enforcing seatbelt and cellphone laws, as well as any other violation that happened to occur, such as expired inspection and registrations. A spotter was located down the street in both directions, so once you noticed the orange cones and flashing red lights, it was too late.

"Buckle Up" and use a hands free phone, as the fines are stiff.
