Red Cross blood drives in Wayne County

American Red Cross blood drives, open to the public, are planned in November.

Blood donors must be healthy, at least 17 years old (16 with a NYS parental permission slip) and must weigh a minimum of 110 lbs. Donors can donate blood every 56 days, and public participation is encouraged.

Visit www.donatebloodnow.org

Every donation can help save as many as three individual patients. This is a great investment of an hour's time. Walk-ins are welcome; appointments are recommended.

  • Nov. 13 - FLCC Newark, 1100 Technology Parkway, Newark, 9:30 to 2.
  • Nov. 14 - Williamson United Methodist Church, 4146 E. Main St., 1 to 6 p.m.
  • Nov. 20 - Newark Hospital, Driving Park Ave., 10 to 3:30.
  • Nov. 22 - St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 400 S. Main St., Newark, 8:30 to 1:30.
  • Nov. 24 - Walworth Baptist Church, 3697 Main St., Walworth, 2 to 7.

The American Red Cross also needs blood drive sponsors. Business, school, and community groups are urged to participate. Call Debra Miller at 585.760.5829.
